Emergency Dentistry

Do you have a dental emergency? We will give you the earliest appointment we have available. You don’t even have to be one of our regular patients! Call us at Dr. Ben’s office now.

If you are calling after our regular business hours, we’ll do our best to help you. Each case is different, but we’ll discuss it with you efficiently and explain the options that can relieve the dental emergency.

What Qualifies as an Emergency?

We perform emergency dentistry for patients in many painful and frightening situations. We’ll always treat you with compassionate care, just as we would with a member of our own family. Emergencies often involve:

Lost Teeth: A tooth being knocked out is a common emergency. Call us right away so that we can possibly reinsert and save your natural tooth.

Tooth Pain: When you don’t know why a tooth is in severe pain, it can be scary. It may require a quick root canal treatment to get rid of an infection and protect your tooth, or another service may be needed.

Wisdom Teeth Problems: You might have wisdom teeth that are impacted or crowding your other teeth. Getting them extracted quickly can be an amazing relief.

Chipped or Broken Teeth: An accident may have cracked, chipped, or damaged your teeth. Keep any tooth pieces you can find, and call us for an emergency repair.

Loose Teeth: You can pull a loose baby tooth at home pretty easily, but a loose adult tooth can be serious. Dr. Ben can often prevent it from coming out if you call right away.

In a crisis, it’s hard to remember numbers and look up the information you need. Keep our phone number in a visible place, and save it in your smartphone in case any of these situations pop up.

We also recommend that you prevent emergencies as much as possible. Get your family to brush their teeth twice a day and to floss. Also, get mouth guards and other safety equipment to protect the teeth of any family members who are involved in sports or other recreational activities that can threaten dental safety.
